A quick question about "Animating with Aero": do you prefer short videos like EP.0, or long ones like EP.1?

24 deviants said Long Episodes (30-60 minutes); these will usually have a co-commentator and more animation work
23 deviants said Short Episodes (10-20 minutes); these will usually just be me going solo and less animation work

Animation is my LIFE, bro!

Please visit the FAQ below for any and all questions. You'll most likely find your answers there.
I disclaim all works that are not under copyright to me. That means I did not create Sonic.
  • Mood: Sociable
  • Listening to: Pogo - Go check him out!
  • Reading: All the wonderful comments you leave me
  • Watching: Sonic Boom! :D
  • Playing: Super Smash Bros. 4
As you know, I like to post my works in progress here onto deviantART, and then upload my finished projects onto YouTube. Over the past few months or so, I've been trying to figure out how to properly balance out my submissions, so that way I can post frequently on both sites without neglecting either one.

So, I think I've figured something out! C:

I'm going to resume posting here as usual, no worries about that. But I am also going to use a similar mantra for YouTube. Allow me to introduce a new series: "Animating with Aero"!

I like posting my works here and seeing what you guys think about it, but I also like to enjoy my work too. So if I record myself as I work and have fun putting on a show for you all (with friends!), I'd say I've found a good way to both upload semi-regularly and have fun. So, if you wouldn't mind the idea of me just chatting it up as you get an inside look at my work, come on down and have a watch!

You can watch the first two episodes (0 and 1) via the links below. Thank you! C:

EP. 0: Recording Test: Animating Sonic!

EP. 1: Japan Time with Nerdword: Animating Knuckles!

Due to the fact that most who watch/visit my page and art ask me some pretty similar questions, I have set up this Frequently Asked Questions widget. Please refer to this before asking your questions. Chances are, they will be answered.

-What programs do you use for your art?
You can probably assume that I use Adobe Photoshop (Creative Cloud version), which would be right. I also use Auto Sketchbook (Pro version) and MS Paint on occasion. Once in a blue moon, I'll make some traditional work.

-What program do you use for your animations?
Flash (Creative Cloud version). Simple as that.

-Where can I get these Programs?
You can buy Flash and Photoshop online from the Adobe website, or try out the 30-day trial. Sketchbook can be found at the Autodesk website. MS Paint is given free with each Windows-Hardware running computer.

-How much do they cost?
A lot. No joke, man. I recommend you start doing some part-time jobs.

-How/Where did you learn to draw like this?
I taught myself. Seriously. I used a time machine to go back in time to train myself for the battle in which I fight the evil art-block demon from the 18th dimension. Although all I did was play Sonic Colors with a Wii from the future (our time, btw) with me. I think I failed to train myself properly.

-Do you take requests?
Not anymore. Sorry! :C

-Do you take art-trades?
If I like what I see from your gallery, yeah sure! From there, I'll try to contact you via a Note where we can discuss what we'll draw for each other.

-Do you take commissions?
WHOOPS! You're in the wrong box! Go to the "Art-Status" box below this one to see if I'm available.

-How can I get as good as you?
PRACTICE. Over and over. You must teach yourself. Use a time-machine if you must.

-Where did you get the music for (insert Flash title)?
I get most of my tunes by browsing YouTube and sometimes from Newgrounds' audio-portal, too. For specifics (such as the song(s)'s name), you can most often find them in the description.

-How are you today?
I'm doing good. Always have, always will. Thank you for asking! C:

-Do you use a tablet?
Yes. And they cost a lot, by the way.

If you have any other questions, I will be more than willing to answer as much as I can. Thank you!

your welcome. you are really good at what you do. was it hard to learn animation?
Aerobian-Angel Featured By Owner 5 days ago  Hobbyist Filmographer
Well, I've pretty much taught myself, aside from a 2 or 3 professional classes over my past 7 years of practice. It's harder to get used to the idea of spending 30 minutes per drawing than it is to maintain that habit. But I will definitely say that I love doing this. C:

Nice art n animations ya got there, btw just curious what tablet do you use?
Aerobian-Angel Featured By Owner Jul 21, 2015  Hobbyist Filmographer
I use a Wacom Intuos 4 and 5. There isn't much difference between the two aside from different side functions, so if you plan to buy one, I recommend getting whichever is cheaper.
