I couldn't come up with a clever title. I also didn't use the trailer song because that's a copyright issue just waiting to happen.

LIFE STORY UP AHEAD:

Where do I begin with this? It' been quite the ride making this animation. Originally, I was on a long upload hiatus, and I hadn't planned on making anything. All because I was just simply without a single idea (Art Block, I tell ya). Then all of a sudden I caught windy hill of a new trailer for a new Sonic game titled "Sonic Lost World"! Of course, I was all over that business. I instantly fell in love and I turned to friend saying "Buy me that game!" I was broke back then. And I still am. Huh. ANYWAY, I watched the trailer again and again that day until this marvelous brainchild came to my mind. And fortunately for me, the reveal was still young. So I booted up my computer and got straight to animating with a zeal I hadn't known for what felt like ages.

Unfortunately for me though, I had ran into many hitches along the way. Between crippling crashes in Flash, having to work on Speed Break alongside this, and even a life-or-death situation itself, I hardly had the time to consistently work on this project. Weeks would pass by where I would add merely 30 or so more frames of animation, and I was getting the idea that the joke had gone stale. After all, everyone and their mother had pretty much came up with --or, at least, had been told-- this joke by the time I upload this. That's when I felt a bit disheartened to finish this.

But out of a feeling of commitment, or maybe sheer stubbornness, I decided to do so. And since the joke may be a bit old, I decided to give it an extra push on the visuals instead. You might not notice this, but there's 10 characters being animated here (admittedly, some more so than others), and I am STILL working at 30 frames per second. Also, the stylized poster board look on the menus is one more thing to attest to that. On top of that, I also did extra voice work (sorry) for the originally-mute Deadly Six, as I attempted to create voices, emotions, and personality for each member. I really do hope you all enjoy it, as I put a lot of love into this.

OKAY DONE

Anyway, I guess I have something less "confessional" and "whiny" to talk about: The Deadly Six! Because, let's face it: they obviously have the most screentime in this animation. Working with these characters really gave me a chance to try conveying differing and unique traits at once. Especially when I'm working with a rather-open-for-vast-interpretation selection of personalities. The trailer didn't do much to set these characters down in stone, but they did give me a general idea to work with. Here are those impressions that I got:

- Zavok (the Obvious Leader) gave off the feeling of an authoritative presence, yet restrained enough to not leap and pounce on the riffraff. He's strong, able-bodied and minded, and isn't one to let his guard down so easily. He may make the final say-so, but that does not make his decisions the wisest.
- Zik (the Old Guy) is the elderly, Zen-like member of the Six. Perhaps the least action-heavy of them all, but his "Sensei Aura" and sheer balance with himself and the elements about him make him an elusive figure. I would surmise that he carries the wisdom for team, bu he doesn't necessarily share their values.
- Zor (the Broody One) seems to be the most distant --and possibly incompatible-- member of the Deadly Six. While all else are ready to enact their plots, he seems rather disinterested in them. He may have a poetically broody side to him, as he does carry a blue rose with him, and is perhaps holds more interest in such things.
- Zeena (the Sassy One) was actually quite fun to work on. She definitely holds the most 'tude in the team (just look at that hair flip), and she knows it. Her actions seem to be for the sake of asserting her own presence where she can, but not necessarily through a means of power.
- Zazz (the Manic One) is perhaps the least coherent of the group. Playing off of his monster facade, he just loves the taste of chaos, as he delights in terrorizing the local animals. His vice, however, is that he seems to lack any tact as he seems to deal with problems as they come, rather than plan around or ahead for them.
- Zomom (the "Zomomma" Joke), from what I've gathered, is simply the dumb one. I don't think that he'll give much input to any plans or conversations, but his unwavering makes him a literal wall. Couple that with his assumed Herculean strength, and he'll make a good tank, just not one with the sharpest GPS.

And there you have it. Now, I'm not saying that these are how these characters really are, in fact I could be waaaaaaaaay off-base --after all, I once theorized that the Lost Hex was make of sectionalized masses of land abducted from Sonic's home planet all suspended in a sub-atmospheric planet-- but these are just impressions that I got from these guys from the trailer. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to this game. And the PARKOOOOUUUUUR.

Oh! Before I forget, here's a YouTube link in case you want to see it in 1080p. Ooooooohhhhh. Shiiiinnnyyyy. [link]

Vision: 5/5 I can easily get the joke shown here and the point of the animation. Not much to say here.

Originality: 5/5 I doubt anyone would have came up with this joke besides you. Pretty original and not just some generic overused joke.

Technique: 4/5 If you were anyone else I would give you a 5/5 but your Aerobian-Angel so I HAVE to be hard <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt=":P" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="395" title=":P (Lick)"/> The animation is really good but there is a bit too much f6'ing here. When the characters are standing still IMO they should at least show some kind of motion other than blinking. Maybe making them turn around, "wobble" around a bit while they're standing. However, I have to give you props, the animation is very fluid. Just, a bit more motion and "emotion" would help. A bit.

Impact: 5/5 The humor is something I would typically see from an amazing Lets Player or trailer dubber that makes me want to watch all of his videos. Kinda like a Shadow759 parody dub, the voice acting really adds impact to the joke and really works well with the animation.
