Originally this was just going to be a spindash animation inspired from
's "Spindash Fail"
animation. I eventually forgot about it. XP
Then I decided to keep going with the spindash idea, but have this titled "Everyday I'm Spindashing". As the animation progressed I nixed the idea, since this is mostly running as opposed to spindashing.
Even more inspiration came by. As I was working, I changed its purpose to being an animation inspired by the Sonic 4: CD Episode (announced by SEGA), and as a test with more... spaz-tastic movement like in a Sonic CD gif that I saw before. I was going to have Sonic running really fast and touch the "Past" pole and have him turn into his Classic self (more on Classic/Modern later). Then I remembered that I don't know how to animate the "Super Peel-Out" run (figure-8), so I scrapped that idea and left it at him just running off-screen.
You could also say that
's very own "Sonic Fail"
animation influenced this as well. GENERAL CHATTER:
To be honest, I didn't know "which Sonic" I was animating. He boasts the attitude of Classic Sonic, yet he has (mostly) Modern Sonic's physique. Looking at this now, I still can't make an accurate judgment, because I know that it's not certain. Who do you guys see? When I look at it, I just see Sonic.
Ah well, BRING ON SONIC GENERATIONS!
Oh yeah, I'm also making an animation of that too. So much to animate and so little time...THE STATISTICS:
